The pool is simple. There are 42 bowl games (including the Championship Game) and you must make 42 picks. Fill out the teams you think will win in descending order of confidence. For example, if you are most confident about Texas beating Washington then fill out Texas as your 42 point team. Assuming that Texas were to win, you would receive 42 points.
The person with the most points at the end wins the pool.
NOTE: The Championship Game for DreuxBowl 2023/2024 is locked at 21 points. More on that below.
The final box you must fill in is for tiebreaking purposes. It is the total number of points you think there will be in the NCAA Championship. If the Alabama / Michigan winner were to beat Texas / Washington winner with a score of 52 to 12, there would be 64 total points in the game. In the event of a tiebreaker, whoever is closer to the actual score of 64 points (either above it or below it) will win.
In the very unlikely event of a tie beyond that, the tie will go to the person with the higher/highest pick ratio.
The National Championship Game counts as another bracket spot. This means that you will be betting on either the #1 OR #4 team beating either the #3 or #2 team. So if you're highly confident that either Alabama OR Michigan will beat either Texas OR Washington then place them in high confidence.
Championship Game Locked at 21 Points
Ever since the championship game was introduced, we've struggled with how to handle it. We have to require picks at the beginning of the game, but since nobody knows who the game will feature AND because it'll be two top-seeded teams either way, most people just place it in the 1-point spot. This has the effect of making the last game virtually meaningless. So this year we've locked the championship game in the center of the bracket. You will still pick the winner, but everybody will win or lose 21 points for the Championship Game. So choose wisely!
